The Chief Justice, Lahore High Court (LHC), Khawaja Muhammad Sharif has disposed of a suo motu proceedings on the incident of acid attack one Haleema Bibi of district Jhang after police produced two accused, Imran Shah and his father Yousaf Shah involved in the crime.
The LHC CJ after examining the report submitted by the District Police Officer (DPO) of Jhang, observed that the matter is very important and is being investigated by the Sub Inspector, Fazal Hussain in an appropriate manner. He directed the Inspector General of Punjab police to appoint within three days a police officer of SP rank, who should investigate the matter and submit his report before the court so the facts are put into record.
