The University of Sindh has arranged an alternate accommodation for students belong to Swat, Dir and Buner districts. In a meeting with students held on May 27, 2009, in which they expressed their fear and insecurity in different boys hostels, the University administration had assured them to take fool proof security measures.
Therefore, in this connection a high level meeting was convened on Tuesday, presided over by Vice Chancellor SU, Mazharul Haq Siddiqui. The meeting was attended by Registrar, Muhammad Saleh Rajar, Provost Dr M Siddique Kalhoro, Professor Incharge Transport Agha Riaz Hassan and others.
The meeting reviewed the security arrangements of the boys hostels and also discussed the facilities at different hostels provided by the University, which includes drinking water, medical care and other facilities. The hostel Provost briefed the meeting about measures for academic and peaceful environment on the campus. Moreover, he informed the meeting that the rooms already allotted to the students of Swat, Dir and Buner are safe and no body else has occupied these rooms.
