The State Bank of Pakistan has advised banks and development finance institutions (DFIs) to start reporting the mapped ratings of all their consumer customers in the e-CIB system from January 2010. The SBP, referring to the BSD Circular No 08 dated October 29, 2007, and Circular Letter No 01 dated January 1, 2009, regarding internal credit rating system, has announced to revise the date of reporting.
It has been decided to revise the date for reporting the consumer rating/scoring in the e-CIB system to December 31, 2009. All banks/DFIs are, therefore, advised to start reporting the mapped ratings of all their consumer customers in the e-CIB system from the month of January 2010, the SBP said. Moreover, all banks/DFIs have been advised to submit quarterly progress reports on the development of consumer rating/scoring system as per SBP format, latest by July 15, 2009, and October 15, 2009, respectively. All other instructions on the subject remain unchanged.
