Two months long summer vacations for the institutes working under Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) start today (June 8). An official from FDE said that all the federal government schools and model colleges will remain closed till August 8.
Last year, the vacations ended in the second week of August but this year the schedule has been revised due to preparations for Independence Day celebrations and tree plantation campaign. Monsoon Tree Plantation campaign will be initiated from August 10 in different federal institutes and early opening of institutes will provide students an opportunity to take part in the campaign which usually starts on August 14 or 15, he said. In the month of August, the weather will be pleasant in federal capital and students will be able to fully participate in the campaign and Independence Day celebrations, he said.
The students of private as well as government institutes are anxiously waiting for the vacations so that they can spent good times with their family and friends. Vacations not only provide sigh of relief from routine study schedule but also time to overcome deficiencies in study.
