Speakers of a seminar on Sunday were of the view that enforcement of Sharia was vital in Malakand in order to establishing the writ of the government. The seminar titled 'What is Shariah, Why Shariah and How Shairah' was organised here at a local hotel under the auspices of Tanzeem-e-Islami (TI).
Addressing the seminar, the founder of TI, Dr Israr Ahmad said that it was the reasonability of the present government to enforce Islam in Malakand division, as it was the demand of the people of the areas.
'Despite the rich natural resources with the Islamic world, Muslims are in the state of desperation and disgrace, all this is due to distance of the Muslims with their faith,' he pointed out. Pakistan was created in the name of Islam and all issues and challenges being faced by the country could be resolved by enforcing the Shariah, he added.
He further said Pakistan was facing many challenges due to corruption, embezzlement and other similar kind of practices. 'There is fear that Pakistan can disintegrate if Islamic teachings are not enforced,' Dr Israr said.
