PIA Management has decided that the airline will continue its flight operations to/from Peshawar and all flights will operate according to schedule as PIA is also carrying relief goods from international destinations and from within Pakistan for IDPs free of cost.
Earlier, PALPA had refused to operate flights to/from Peshawar due to security concerns of the crew. PIA Director Flight Operations is holding talks with PALPA for taking back their earlier decision of not operating flights to Peshawar.
PIA flight PK 350 for the sector Karachi-Peshawar departed on schedule at 7PM on Thursday with 192 passengers. The flight also carried 6,000 Kgs relief goods for IDPs. Another flight PK 287 for the sector Lahore-Peshawar-Doha departed today on schedule, which also carried relief goods for Peshawar.-PR
