Restoration of sacked employees: ministries directed to implement process on priority basis

Federal Cabinet Committee for reinstatement of sacked employees held its meeting here on Thursday under the chairmanship of Federal Minister for Labour and Manpower, Syed Khursheed Ahmad Shah. The Committee reviewed in detail the process of reinstating of 9,900 employees, who were sacked from government service during 1996 to 1998.
The federal minister, while addressing the meeting, directed the representatives of various ministries to implement this reinstatement process on priority basis as this decision has been taken by the cabinet. He also said that all departments should give special attention to resolve this issue and delay in this matter would not be tolerated.
Those sacked employees, who did not contact yet to their relevant ministries for their reinstatement, the minister directed that all ministries/institutions should again send letter through courier service to them and also give advertisement in the newspaper.-PR
