Punjab government has launched a revolutionary project in the province with an amount of Rs 500 million for the economic rehabilitation of small livestock breeders. District officer Livestock, Dr Abdul Rehman, informed here on Thursday, while giving a briefing about the project. Agriculture EDO Rana Farman Ali Khan was also present on the occasion.
An amount of Rs 22.36 has been allocated by the Punjab government for the project, he said, adding that the process of registration has started in the district and the poor breeders, who are breeding goats and sheeps from 1 to 20 numbers and elder animals from 1 to 4 numbers, are being registered by the field staff. He informed that the facilities of food (wanda), vaccination, artificial dissemination and the medicine for the animal would be provided to the registered small and poor livestock breeders at their door steps under the project.
