The Karachi Port handled 76,523 tonnes of cargo including 51,075 tonnes of import and 25,448 tonnes of export; 3,278 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Friday. The freights comprised of 73,523 tonnes of dry cargo including 34,746 tonnes of general cargo; 28,214 tonnes of coal; 5,876 tonnes of canola seeds; 4,687 tonnes of cement and 3,000 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
Ten ships namely viz Thore Confidence, Dawei, Misc Darlington, TS Qingdao, Tug Janet, Cable Empowered, Atlantic Miracle, Afarabi, Expander and Resolve sailed out to sea carrying general cargo, containers, tug, tankers, bunker, bulk and vehicle respectively during the reported period.
Six vessels namely Resolve, H & H Tide, Lena, Ashraf B, Hyundai Baron and Hae Un are currently at the berths to load/off load car carrier, containers, general cargo, bunkers, containers and coal respectively during 24 working hours. Five ships namely Wan Hai 501, CSAV Rio Aysen, H & Tide, Lena and Dorian are expected to sail on Friday.
While four more vessels viz New Vision, Captain Yamak, Hyundai Baron and Triton Stork expected to sail on Saturday. One ship namely Jakarta an Express carrying containers is due to arrive on Friday. While ten more vessels Summit Europe, Oriental Tulip, YM Asia, Apl Balboa, Grand View, Mare Thracium, Rahgosha, CSCC Asia, Adriatic Arrow and Fatime 1 carrying jet oil, ethanol, containers, rice, car cement and project cargo respectively on Saturday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 74,954 tonnes including 59,597 tonnes of import; 15,361 tonnes of export cargo and 1,551 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours on Friday. The cargoes comprised of 38,605 tonnes of furnace oil; 10,300 tonnes of palm oil; 3,130 tonnes of chemicals; 340 tonnes of clinker; 3,657 tonnes of cement and 18,924 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Three ships namely M T Polaris Stardom, NYK Cosmos and Sea Sky carrying chemicals, containers and oil tanker sailed out to sea during last 24 hours. While two more ships viz M T Puja Wati and M T Sigas Maud are expected to sail on the same day.
Eight ships namely C V NYK Cosmos, M V Suez, M V Green Line, M V Orient-II, M V Shaheen Al-Ghanim, M T Sigas Maud, M T Puja Wati and M T Sea Sky are currently occupying the berths to load/off load containers, cement, chemicals, palm oil and furnace oil at PQA Terminal during reported period respectively.
Twelve vessels namely Maersk Novazzano, CMA CGM Onyx, Najran, Indradi, Sambho Sapphire, Summit Europe, Al-Soor-II, Wales-II, Rimar, Al-Aqeela-1, She Bele and St. Kitts carrying containers, chemicals, Palm oil, diesel oil, cement and LPG are currently at the outer anchorage.
Five ships namely C V Maersk Novazanno, C V CMA CGM Onyx, M T Summit Europe, M T St. Kitts and M T Samho Sapphire scheduled to load/off load containers, furnace oil, LPG and palm oil are expected to take berths at QICT, FOTCO, EVTL and LCT respectively on Friday. While another ship namely M T Harrati is due to arrive at Port Qasim carrying edible oil on same day. Four vessels M T CE Pacific, C V MSC Megai, C V Bux Lagoon and C V MSC Aurelie carrying crude oil and containers are expected to arrive on Saturday.
