Governor Balochistan Nawab Zulfikar Ali Magsi on Wednesday said that the Balochistan IT University had pioneered in modern methods of teaching which would provide the students an opportunity to attend the lectures of world class instructors.
Addressing after inaugurating video conferencing facility in the Balochistan University of Information and Management Sciences here he appreciated the efforts of Higher Education Commission (HEC) for promotion of higher education in the country in general and the province in particular and said that educational institutes equipped with modern means would produce well skilled and well educated students.
Earlier, Executive Director Higher Education Commission Suhail H Naqvi exchanged his views with the Governor Nawab Zulfikar Ali Magsi and appreciated the efforts of the university administration for the promotion of education in Balochistan.
He assured that the Commission would extend every kind of support in order to supplement the endeavours of the university administration in provision of modern education. Later, briefing the members of the Senate, Vice Chancellor IT University Engineer Farooq Bazai said that the university would soon introduce modern technology under Campus Management Solution Programme.
He further said the students of this university would be able to take advantage from the lectures of teachers of international and other universities of the country. Senate Members of IT University including provincial minister Shama Perveen Magsi, Justice Mehta Kelash Nath Kohli, Professor Dr Arbab Ghulam Rasool, Anwar Tareen, Syed Mohsin Raza, Professor Ehsanullah Kakar, Registrar Muhammad Afzal Kasi and others also attended the meeting.
