All districts presidents and general secretaries of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chapter NWFP will set up blood donation camps in connection with the birth anniversary of Benazir Bhutto. Federal Minister for States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON) Najmuddin Khan, said here on Wednesday during his address at a meeting of districts presidents and general secretaries of PPP provincial chapter.
He said PPP would never forget the sacrifices and services of the Bhutto family and its followers would adopt the way of sacrifices for the development of the country. Najmuddin Khan informed that all the Executive Districts Officers (EDOs) would monitor the donation camps along with teams of doctors.
He said all the donated blood would be handed over to the Armed Force for the storage and this blood would be used for the wounded persons of police, Army men and the general public during operation in Swat and Malakand division. The minister informed that during this campaign over 10,000 bottles of blood would be collected. Managing Director of Baitul Mall, Zamurd Khan, said such camps would be set up in Swabi at the IDPs camps who were willingly donate blood for the sake of their leader Benazir Bhutto. He said that government was providing all out facilities to the IDPs.
Provincial President of PPP, Syed Zahir Ali Shah, said, "Our leader Benazir Bhutto also sacrificed her life for the prosperity and the development of the country and public." He said in this regard all the arrangements would be finalised within two days and campaign would start with the Quran Khawani for the eternal peace of Shaheed Bhutto. On the occasion MNAs, MPAs and prominent politicians of Swat and Malakand were present.
