The International Tennis Federation (ITF) will consider an appeal from India seeking a heavier penalty on Australia for forfeiting last month's Davis Cup tie due to security concerns. The ITF said on Friday it had received an appeal from the All India Tennis Association (AITA) which would be discussed at a board meeting on July 15.
Australia were fined $10,000 after refusing to travel for the zonal tie in Chennai but the ITF's Davis Cup Committee decided not to ban the 28-times champions from the 2010 competition.
