Indus River System Authority (Irsa) on Saturday released 229,376 cusecs water from various rim stations. According to Irsa, an overall water inflow from various reservoirs recorded was 2,26,954 cusecs. Water level at Tarbela Dam recorded was at 1374.52 feet. The present water level at the dam was 5.52 feet higher than the dead level of 1,369 feet.
Water inflow at the dam was recorded at 1,13,400 cusecs while outflow was 1,06,800 cusecs. The water level at Mangla Dam was recorded at 1166.70 feet, which was 126.70 feet higher than the dead level of 1,040 feet. Water inflow at the dam was recorded at 45,978 cusecs. The contribution of Kabul and Chenab was recorded at 42,700 cusecs and 24,876 cusecs, respectively.
