A baby was recovered by Chhipa volunteers from bushes in Baldia Town here on Sunday. This was revealed in a statement of the Chhipa Welfare Association on Sunday. It said that the baby aged between one and two years was found in a semi-conscious state, but it is said that she is in a stable condition.
The statement said that the parents of the baby would be located and in case of failure the baby would be handed over to a childless couple. Ramzan Chhipa of the Chhipa Welfare Association has appealed to the people not to abandon babies in such a horrible way, instead they should be handed over to 'Chhipa palna' so that they could be brought up and handed over to childless couples. Ramzan said that such 'palnas' have been installed at the Chhipa Markaz and emergency centres.
