Likewise in other parts of the country, Pakistan People's Party (PPP) leaders set up blood donation camps in several towns of Balochistan, including the provincial capital to pay tribute to political and democratic struggles and services of former party chairperson Benazir Bhutto on her 56th birth anniversary.
The local PPP leaders set up blood donation camps at district office of the party, civil secretariat and other places in Quetta in which provincial ministers and people belonging to various walks of life donated blood to pay homage to democratic services of the assassinated PPP leader.
Prominent among those who donated blood at the camps set up in Quetta included; MNA Dr Zill-e-Humma, Balochistan ministers Sadiq Umrani and Ali Madad Jatak, provincial general secretary PPP Bismillah Khn Kakar and other party leaders.
Speaking on the occasion, Bismillah Kakar said that the party leaders, workers and supporters would continue to serve humanity in line to follow the footsteps of Benazir Bhutto.
He said that blood donated at these camps would be provided to civil hospital and volunteer blood banks for helping poor patients in the province. Apart from Quetta, the PPP leaders had also established blood donation camps at Noshki, Kalat, Mastung, Loralai, Bolan, Mach Surab and Chaghi towns of Balochistan in which a large number of people donated blood for helping and serving poor patients and paid rich tribute to former PPP leader Shaheed Benazir Bhutto on the eve of her birthday.
