115,000 pilgrims reach Saudi Arabia through 462 flights
ISLAMABAD: A total of 115,000 intending pilgrims including 75,000 government and 40,000 private scheme have so far reached Saudi Arabia through over 462 flights, said official sources of Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony.
The month long pre Hajj flight operation would be concluded on August 26, 2017, sources said adding that remaining hujjaj would be sent to Saudi Arabia within a next few days.
He said a total of 179,210 lucky persons would perform sacred religious ceremony this year. Hajj Medical Mission has provided medical treatment to over 31,000 pilgrims in Jeddah, Makkah and Madina.
While 12 intending hujjaj have been admitted in hospital.32 serious patients have been shifted to Saudi hospitals. 132 wheelchairs have been provided to deserving intending pilgrims, the sources added.
The hajj operation is being supervised in well organised manner, the sources said adding that it is being ensured that pilgrims could be provided maximum facilities. The complaints of pilgrims regarding transport and residences are being addressed forthwith. The complaints about the standards of food have also been minimized.
