Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Director General Omer Rasul personally attended hundreds of visitors at Johar Town office of LDA till 4pm on Friday, in connection with the 'open katchairy.' According to a LDA's spokesman here on Friday, he passed on the spot orders on their applications and ensured immediate action on their pleas.
He dealt a number of cases pertaining to transfer of plots, approval of building plans and other related affairs and ensured instant implementation of his orders by the officials for providing relief to the public. On the directives of the DG, the staff of LDA daily receives applications from the people till 1pm at the One Window Cell and necessary action on these applications is ensured within the fixed time frame.
People have been advised for coming to the One Window Cell instead of visiting officials concerned individually. They are not allowed to enter into the main building of the office. They could now come to One Window Cell only where proper sitting arrangement have been made for them besides installation of air conditioners at this building.
Also, project for linking all office of LDA through computer networking has been commenced. After the execution of this project, the movement and tracking of applications and files would be carried out through computer. Applications would be forwarded to the concerned directors through the computer and reports of actions taken on them will also be received through this medium. A software for this purpose has already been developed.
