Traders of Islamabad have lauded the government's decision to appoint Imtiaz Inayat Elahi as Chairman of Capital Development Authority (CDA) and assured full co-operation to the incumbent.
Former chairmen of the civic body had promised to establish dispensary, mosque, library, union office, parking facilities and filtration plants in the Blue Area but to no avail," said Malik Sohail Hussain, VP NTA, President Traders Welfare Association (TWA), Blue Area, former SVP ICCI and Advisor TAC.
He said that the trading community hopes that new city father will fulfil these commitments and improve city in light of his international exposure. Others present in the meeting including Liaquat Noon, Ahsan Bakhtawari, Yusaf Rajput, Asad Rashid Haji Muhammad Naeem, Shahid Alam and Shakil Aziz said that we expect that ongoing developmental projects would be completed soon and environment will figure prominently on the agenda of CDA.
They said that taskforce formed by former chairman Tariq Mehmood Khan should not only continue to work but should be strengthened so that the issues could be resolved amicably and traders could play a greater role in the development of city.-PR
