Punjab University's Sports Sciences women soccer team thrashed Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) team 7-0 in Group-C of IInd National Women Football Club Championship at Punjab University, Old Campus Ground on Saturday. Ayesha Hassan and Saima Akhtar earned two goals while Ishrat Fatima 6th min, Shagufta Akhter 10th min, Naima Mukhtar 57th min were other goal getters.
Saima did the scoring in the 14th and 20th minute while Ayesha fired the ball into net when clock was showing 44th and 46th min. Layyah's Young Rising Star went out of contention when they suffered 0-2 lost at the hands of Fatima FC. Playmaker Saima struck both goals in the 28th and 43rd minutes.
Earlier, both the teams were introduced Vision Asia Director, Brendan Menton and other members Imtiaz Rehman (Vision India Director), Dr Annathurai Ranganathan (Grassroots and Youth Department Development Officer), Ali Targholizadeh (Coaches Education) and Ameez Mohamed (Development Officer - Referees).
