A two-member delegation of elected representatives from NWFP called on President Asif Ali Zardari here at the Aiwan-e-Sadr on Monday. During the meeting the matters regarding the on-going drive against militants in Swat and Waziristan and the various measures taken for the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the dislocated people were discussed.
Matters about the government's resolve for empowerment of women also came under discussion. The delegation comprised MPAs Ms Shazia Themas Khan (Peshawar) and Ms Sanjeeda Yousaf (D.I.Khan). The President urged the elected representatives to play their active role in the relief and rehabilitation of displaced people and creating awareness among the masses against the heinous and violent activities of the militants and extremists.-PR
