Provincial Minister for Labour Sher Azam Wazir on Tuesday said that completion of Kurram Tangi Dam, Gomal Zam Dam, Chashma Lift Canal and Barkatno Dam at Bannu would not only help in reclaiming millions of acres of barren land in southern districts, but would also make the province self-sufficient in wheat and other crops.
Talking to various delegations from Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Karak and other areas of the province here on Tuesday, Labour Minister said that the Provincial Government with the support of the Federal government has decided to expedite pace of work on irrigation and hydel projects in fiscal year 2009-10.
