Monsoon rains: stakeholders asked to visit notified relief, medical camps

The DCO Hyderabad Aftab Ahmed Khatri directed all stakeholders to remain alert and keep the machinery ready to be vowed during the expected forthcoming monsoon rains/flood in the district, to avoid casualty and the loss of property. This, he directed, while reviewing the meeting regarding the role of the Civil Defence in the monsoon rains/flood at his office this morning.
Talking on the occasion, the DCO directed all stakeholders to visit the notified relief and medical camps and review the relief works. He directed the management of the Civil Defence to remain in close contact with the concerned departments during the expected rains/flood and help the administration during an emergency, by rescuing the rain/flood-affected people and shifting them to the relief/medical camps and their rehabilitation arrangements.
He said that the administration was closely watching the weather forecast and the vulnerable points of the banks of the River Indus. He said that all the necessary arrangements, including the establishment of relief/medical camps, disposal of rainy water, supply of medicines, relief works and rehabilitation arrangements of the affected peoples had been made, but there was still need of improvement in any operation on the occasion.
The Additional Controller Civil Defence revealed that the Civil Defence would co operate in the relief work, along with its 200 volunteers and NGOs to provide maximum co operation to the government and affected peoples. On the occasion, all stakeholders reported their relief arrangements. All the concerned officers attended the meeting.
