Corn futures rose at the Chicago Board of Trade early on Wednesday in a short-covering rebound from a nearly seven-month low, traders said. The corn/soybean spread was correcting after a recent rally in the July soybean contract. At 9:38 am CDT (1438 GMT), CBOT July corn was up 9-1/2 cents at $3.45 a bushel.
