Katrina Kaif’s next movie based on her real life?

The Shah Rukh Khan starer Aanand L Rai’s upcoming movie was temporarily titled, ‘Katrina Meri Jaan’ as the Bollywood actress plays a character closer to herself but Katrina has apparently rejected the title due to her ex.

In a recent interview, the ‘Jagga Jasoos’ actress was asked about the movie and its unique name to which the actress clarified that the movie is still to be named, “I play an actress in the film, but I don’t play myself. I’m not Katrina Kaif. My character has a different name in the film. So, it obviously cannot be called Katrina Meri Jaan,” PinkVilla reported.

But the real reason behind the change in the title is apparently different as it is said that Katrina’s character in the movie is identical to her real life and Shah Rukh Khan plays her biggest fan, the actress even goes through a devastating break up in the movie similar to her real life recent heart break with Ranbir Kapoor.

According to some media reports, “The script was written with the idea of Katrina playing Katrina in the film and SRK being her biggest fan. Kat asked the makers to change the character’s name because she didn’t want people to think it’s completely based on her life. Especially, because the character of the actress in the film goes through a terrible break-up with her actor-boyfriend. Given that Ranbir and Katrina’s break-up is still being talked about, she wasn’t comfortable with the similarities being drawn between her reel and real life. It was too close to reality, so she requested Aanand to use a different name for her character.” Following this, the title of the film was changed.

Shah Rukh Khan will be playing twins in the untitled movie and the Bollywood film also stars Anushka Sharma in the lead.
