The Thai stock market lost 0.11 percent Tuesday as investors adopted a wait-and-see attitude ahead of a public holiday, an analyst said. The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) composite index dropped 0.73 points to close at 643.02 and the blue chip SET-50 index was down 0.88 points at 465.54.
Gainers narrowly outnumbered losers 159 to 144 and 143 stocks were unchanged with turnover of 7.3 billion shares worth 17.4 billion baht (511 million dollars). Bangkok Bank dropped 2.50 to 110.50 baht, Kasikornbank shed 2.00 to close at 71.00 baht, and Siam Commercial Bank was down 0.50 at 77.75 baht.
