The Karachi Port handled 140,106 tonnes of cargo including 106,434 tonnes import and 33,672 tonnes export cargo including 2,921 empty and loaded containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Wednesday. The cargo comprised of 98,536 tonnes dry cargo including 78,991 tonnes containerised and general cargo; 15,000 tonnes coal; 558 tonnes rice; 3,987 tonnes cement and 41,570 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Eleven ships namely Thomas Mann, APL Dalian, Lucky Arrow, Seaways Venture, MT Swat, Morning Courier, Freedom, APL Balboa, Uni Promote, Voge Dignity and Dolphin-3 sailed out to sea during the report period. Eight vessels viz Freedom, Seaways Venture, Morning Courier, Qatari Ibn Al-Fujaa, African Puma, MSC Finland, Star Theta and Samho Heron are currently at the berths.
Two ships namely Qatari Ibn Al-Fujaa and African Puma expected to sail on Wednesday, while another three vessels viz MSC Finland, Fade-1 and MT Johar are expected to sail on Thursday. Five vessels viz Hyundai General, Samin-1, Sima Sahba, Kota Hapas and Moondance-II due to arrive on Wednesday, while two ships namely North Pole and Dubai Jewel are due to arrive on Thursday.

PORT QASIM
total cargo volume of 82,541 tonnes comprising 59,951 tonnes import and 22,590 tonnes export inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 1,520 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours on Wednesday. The cargo comprised of 39,333 tonnes diesel oil; 4,208 tonnes chemicals; 2,677 tonnes rice; 840 tonnes clinker; 13,961 tonnes cement and 21,522 tonnes containerised cargo.
Two container ships namely CV Mearsk Iowa and Ville D' Orion and edible oil vessel MT Empire Tulang Bawang sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while another four ships namely Nedlloyed America, CV Mearsk Itaque, CV Oriental Oki and Al-Salam-II are expected to sail on Wednesday. A total of seven vessels viz Bow Santos, Iron Monger-5, ACX Pearl, Benefactor, CMA CGM Coral, Prince Jasmine and World Majesty scheduled to load, offload edible oil, furnace oil, containers, canola seeds, cement and palm oil are currently at the outer anchorage.
Eight ships namely Nedlloyed America, CV Mearsk Itaque, MV Oriental Moon, MV Eastern Charm, MV She Belle, MV Leopard-B, MT Chemroute Sun, MT Oriental Oki and MT Grigoroussa-I are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, rice, clinker, cement, chemicals and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Five ships namely ACX Pearl, CMA CGM Coral, CV Mearsk Itaque, Iron Monger-5, Bow Santos and MT Nogas Alameda carrying containers, furnace oil, edible oil and chemicals are expected to take berths at Container Terminal, Fotco Terminal, LC Terminal and Engro Terminal respectively on Wednesday.
Twelve vessels viz MSC Magali, MSC Liberty, Maersk Novazzano, CMA CGM Puget, Saudi Tabuk, Najran, Al-Mirqab, Pangal, Orient-II, Quetta, Nostos and SC Qingdao carrying containers, cement, crude oil, furnace oil and palm oil are expected to arrive.
