Member British Parliament, Chaudhry Sarwar called on Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif here on Friday and matters of mutual interest were discussed in the meeting. According to an official, the Chief Minister informed the British parliamentarian about the steps taken for the rapid development of the province and welfare of the masses.
He said maintenance of law and order is the top priority of the government and a comprehensive strategy has been evolved for this purpose. He also said revolutionary measures are being taken for the promotion of education sector and a state-of-the-art Danish Schools project has been launched in the far-flung areas of the province where academic facilities even better than Aitcheson and other prestigious educational institutions would be available to the poor students. "The Punjab Educational Endowment Fund would help poor but talented students to continue their studies," he added.
