In Indian Held Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference and other pro-freedom parties have felicitated people and government of Pakistan on their 63rd Independence Day. The spokesman of APHC, in a statement issued in occupied Srinagar, prayed for the safety and stability of Pakistan, KMS reported.
"The August 14 has special significance in the subcontinent as Pakistan came into existence on this day. We congratulate the people and government of Pakistan on their Independence Day," he stated. Repeating the call for shutdown on August 15, India's Independence Day, he appealed to the people to make it a success. He urged India to meet the commitments of its leaders made by the people of Kashmir for deciding their future according to their own will.
APHC leader and the Chairperson of Muslim Khawateen Markaz, Yasmin Raja, in a statement, said that Pakistan always extended its moral, political and diplomatic support to the Kashmiris' struggle for self-determination. She said that India had been depriving Kashmiris from the freedom for last sixty three-years through use of brute force.
On the other hand, the spokesman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyet Jammu and Kashmir, in a statement issued in occupied Srinagar, congratulated the people of Pakistan on their Independence Day. "Pakistan came into existence under two nations theory after millions of people offered the sacrifices of their lives and property," he added.
JKLF leader, Farooq Ahmed Dar (Retd), in a statement, expressed greetings to the people of Pakistan on their 63rd Independence Day. He hoped that Pakistan would continue its support to the just struggle of Kashmiris. He called upon people of Kashmir to mark August 15 as black day.
The spokesmen of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Freedom League, Muslim League Jammu and Kashmir and Jammu and Kashmir Mass Movement, in their separate statements, extended their congratulations to the people and government of Pakistan on the occasion of Independence Day.
