Member Provincial Assembly Atifur Rehman has affirmed his commitment that 8 kanal land would be taken on lease for the period of eight years to establish a park and playground here at Khyaban-e-Warsak area and funds have been allocated for the development of existing road in the vicinity. He was addressing a function arranged by Islahi and Falahi Committee on the occasion of the inauguration of Madani Masjid Street at Khiaban-e-Warsak on Monday.
The street was constructed and cemented with a cost of Rs 0.5 million allocated from the MPA funds. Naib Nazim Babughari Haji Said Rahman Mohmand, Malik Irshad, former Session Judge Ziauddin Sidiqui, Muhammad Riaz Advocate, Muhammad Imran Sethi, Muhammad Javed Alam, Saifullah Khattak, Dr Mubarak Jan, Amal Zada Khattak, Sajid Khan, Kalimullah, Palai Khan, Shamsur Rahman Shams, Attaullah and a large number of elite of the area attended the function. The MPA severely criticised the anti-Islamic activities of the terrorists and stated that a big portion of the development funds was diverted to the terror-affected areas, which gave a serious setback to the development sector.
However, the government would allocate enough grants to the development schemes and assured the dwellers of Khiaban-e-Warsak that all their demands would be met. He disclosed that Rs 1.3 million had been spent in the area from the last budget and declared that from the next budget he would try his level best to get more funds for the removal of the grievances of the people of Khiaban-e-Warsak.
He said the FHA had been approached and the scheme for the construction of the main drainage in Khiaban-e-Warsak had been included in the construction and widening of the main Warsak road. He hoped that the issue would be solved soon adding that tube well would also be installed in the area within his own funds. Nazim Babughari Haji Said Rahman lauded the pro-people efforts of the committee and assured that he would take the demands of the people of Khiaban-e-Warsak to the Town-II forum and after availability of funds many uplift works would be carried out in the area.
