Half-yearly results: WorldCall Telecom's loss-after-tax shrinks to nearly Rs 227 million
The loss after tax of WorldCall Telecom declined to Rs 226.976 million in the half year period ended June 30, 2009 as compared to a loss of Rs 283.731 million in the corresponding period in 2008. The board of directors of the company in its meeting declared per share loss of Re. 0.26 in the period under review against Re. 0.37 in the same period last year.
According to financial results, the company's net revenue increased to Rs 3.989 billion in the half year period this year against Rs 2.104 billion in the same period last year. The company's direct cost increased to Rs 3.344 billion in this period against Rs 1.547 billion previously. The company's before tax loss was recorded at Rs 258.578 million in the first half of 2009 against a before tax loss of Rs 350.045 million in the same period in 2008.
