As part of the special campaign against the hoarding of sugar and to ensure availability of sugar in the local market, a raid was conducted on Khazana Sugar Mills (KSM) on Tuesday and 1,71,400 bags of sugar were seized from the mill. The mill has been sealed off and stock register has been taken in to custody.
The record shows that during current month only 1300 bags have been supplied to Peshawar and most of the supply is being made to Bajaur/Mohmand Agencies. The mill management has been called to DCO office for Wednesday to further investigate the matter and take decision regarding the disposal of sugar.
