The profit after tax of Ferozsons Laboratories has declined to Rs 182.757 million in the year ended June 30, 2009 as compared to Rs 217.0233 million earned a year back. The company's earning per share decreased to Rs 10.53 in the period under review against Rs 12.50 in the same period in previous year.
The board of directors of the company in its meeting held on Tuesday recommended a final cash dividend for the year at Re. 1.00 per share ie 10 percent. The board also recommended issuing bonus shares in the proportion of two shares for every 10 shares held ie 20 percent.
According to the financial results, the company's net sales increased to Rs 1,085.393 million in FY09 against Rs 932.297 million in FY08. The cost of sales increased to Rs 501.182 million against Rs 391.559 million. The company's profit before taxation stood at Rs 245.723 million in FY09 against Rs 292.662 million in FY08.
