Lionel Messi scored twice as Barcelona beat Athletic Bilbao 3-0 in the Spanish Super Cup second leg on Sunday for a 5-1 aggregate win. The European champions dominated the match and could have won by more. Argentine star Messi scored in the 50th minute and added a second from the penalty spot in the 68th.
New Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic settled well and it was his pass which created Messi's opener. Bojan Krkic added the third goal shortly after coming on as a substitute. Barcelona had five decent chances to score in the first half with Thierry Henry, Messi, Xavi, Gerard Pique and Ibrahimovic all going close.
