At least four policemen were killed Tuesday by a suicide attacker in the troubled Caucasus province of Chechnya, officials said according to a report by Interfax. The suicide bomber blew himself up at a petrol station in the town of Mesker-Yurt, some 20 kilometres south-east of the capital Grozny, the officials said.
At least two passers-by were injured in the attack. Tuesday's attack follows on the carnage the previous Friday, when four police were killed in Grozny by suicide attackers riding bicycles.
