The Meteorological department said on Thursday that a monsoon weather system lies over eastern Madhya Pradesh and adjoining areas (India) is likely to affect Sindh and upper parts of Pakistan during next couple of days. Under the influence of this system,, Met Office forecast following weather conditions.
Sindh: Many parts of Sindh, especially coastal areas including Karachi are expected to receive good monsoon rains, at times heavy between 29-31st August.
Kashmir & Northern Areas: Scattered thundershowers are expected in Kashmir and adjoining Northern Areas during next 2-3 days.
Islamabad & Punjab: Scattered Thundershowers are expected in the Province during next 2-3 days.
NWFP: Isolated Thunderstorm-rain is expected in upper NWFP next 2-day.
Balochistan: Hot & Dry weather expected in most parts of Balochistan during next few days. However, Makran coastal areas may receive few rainfall during coming days.

Meanwhile Flood Warning Centre in its daily report has said that moderate flooding is likely in Hill TORRENTS OF D. G. KHAN AND RAJANPUR DISTRICTS Nullah/ Nullahs on Thursday. River Indus at Guddu is in low flood with a discharge of 215200 cusecs, all the other major rivers are flowing below low flood level.
For first time this year, water inflow at the water starved Kotri barrage has crossed 1,06,00 mark from where 72,300 cusecs fresh water is being discharged downstream into the Indus delta for growth of fisheries, mangroves, forests and improvement of environment of life in the area.
With the reduction of inflows in the rivers Indus and Jhelum, the Indus River System Authority has started releasing addition quantity of water from the Tarbela and Mangla reservoirs to meet irrigation water needs of the four provinces where three main Kharif crops, ie cotton, rice and sugarcane at critical stage of their maturity.
