Pakistan Post is planning to establish as many as 100 Small and Smart Express Post Centers (SSEPC) in first phase across the country to provide better service delivery to the customers. The sources told this news agency that these centers were being set up with an aim to enhancing share of postal business and further strengthen public confidence in the postal services.
They said that there were a number of private courier companies operating in the country and these could be competed only with the provision of better service to the customers. The sources said demand for Express Service has significantly increased in the current competitive scenario.
They said that Pakistan Post has disbursed Rs 5 million under Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) among the needy so far across the country. In the fierce competitive environment, Pakistan Post could only prosper through catering for the demands of the customers, they added. They said that Pakistan Post was profitable institution and new services and projects were being introduced to generate more revenue.
