Most of the tailor masters of Rawalpindi-Islamabad have stopped further booking for stitching cloths owing to excessive rush much ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr. "We have already taken clothes for stitching till Eid and have no more space to take further orders," said Amir Mehmood, a tailor master in Karachi Company.
People, who still have to stitch their cloths, are worried about preparing their new dresses, as it is much practised Islamic tradition to put on new cloths on day of Eid-ul-Fitr. "I have visited several tailor shops in the capital and was unable to find any that could stitch my cloths," Adnan Bhittani said. However, he said that if I fail to get my cloths stitched, I would have to go far readymade dress.
Customers also complain that tailors do not give proper stitch to their cloths due to heavy workload on Eid, so they prefer to have readymade garments. Readymade garments are available in a wide variety and offer people a suitable choice to have a redeemed suit instead of getting one stitched. However, prices of readymade garments are the issue that the customers have to think about before going to the market.
