Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has sent his Malaysian counterpart Dato Seri Mohd Najib bin Haji Tun Abdul Razak's way a congenial message to felicitate him on the arrival of August 31, the National Day of Malaysia.
In his message, the PM said: "On behalf of the government and people of Pakistan and my own behalf, I wish to convey to Your Excellency and to the brotherly people of Malaysia our warm felicitations on the occasion of National Day of your country."
"The people of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan cherish the close and cordial relations that so happily exist between our two countries. I am confident that these ties will continue to flourish in the days ahead. My government will continue to endeavour to further deepen and expand our mutually beneficial relationship."
"I avail myself of this opportunity to express my best wishes for Your Excellency's personal health, happiness and for the continued progress and prosperity of the people of Malaysia," he added.
