The Karachi Port handled 209,591 tonnes of cargo including 118,584 tonnes import and 91,007 tonnes export cargo including 3,302 empty and loaded containers during last 48 hours ending at 0700 hours on Monday. The cargo comprised of 169,298 tonnes dry cargo including 114,839 tonnes containerised and general cargo; 11,688 tonnes fertiliser; 24,590 tonnes coal; 13,075 tonnes cement and 40,293 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Six ships namely Arctic Flounder, Bow Orania, Golden Arrow-II, Chi Feng Kou, Thurangia Express and Valentine sailed out to sea during the report period. Five vessels viz Valentine, Asdrubal, Ava, Doran and PAC Antlia are currently at the berths. Three ships namely APL Guangzhou, SCA Pride and YM Europe expected to sail on Monday, while another three vessels viz Asdrubal, Ellenita and Bunga Raya Lima are expected to sail on Tuesday. Three vessels viz Cape Sable, Monoxylion and Ocean of Luck due to arrive on Monday, while another three ships namely Chemroad Fuji, SC Xiamen and MT Johar are due to arrive on Tuesday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 57,687 tonnes comprising 43,836 tonnes import and 13,851 tonnes export inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 1,438 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours on Monday. The cargo comprised of 35,153 tonnes furnace oil; 2,638 tonnes chemicals; 1,431 tonnes cement and 18,465 tonnes containerised cargo. Four ships MT Al-Soor-II, MT Stolt Megami, CV MSC Sierra and CV Cape Martin sailed out to sea during last 24 hours.
A total of four vessels viz Maersk Novazzano, Memphis, Rozy and Gulf Eagle scheduled to load/offload containers, furnace oil and cement are currently at the outer anchorage. Seven ships namely CV MSC Sierra, CV Cape Martin, MV Alexi-3, MV Tekeze, MV Hiba Al-Noor-B, MT Indradi and MT Nostos are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, chemicals and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Container ship Maersk Virginia is expected to take berth at Container Terminal on Monday. Container vessel Nedlloyed Honshu is due to arrive on Tuesday, while four ships namely CV ACX Crystal, CV CMA CGM Jade, CV Eddy Stone and MV Ocean of Luck are due to arrive on Wednesday. Three ships namely Wilma, Great Bright and Rapallo carrying project cargo, coke and coal are also expected to arrive.
