Karachi is a city of Pakistan which once was been called the City of lights. But now-a-days, the blind city of Pakistan is recovering its lost glory through its Prime Nazim, Honourable Mustufa Kamal, who would have been called Ata Turk-2nd in Turkey but in Karachi, he is definitely the architect, the builder and the Shahjahan of Karachi.
He is building Karachi to become one of the international cities of the world, by constructing bridges, flyovers, underpasses and overheads, to save the time of running traffic. Due to the efforts of the City Nazim, a man who has seen Karachi three or four years back, will not recognise Karachi as the city which he had seen in the past, due to the efforts to change Karachi.
The City council is requested that a special meeting and ceremony be arranged to honour and decorate the City Nazim as the Shahjahan of Karachi. Besides, through the courtesy of this newspaper, the Architect of Karachi is requested to kindly construct pedestrian bridges for persons to cross the superhighway, in front of Al-Asif Square, where a large number of persons have to cross the road, as this is a place from where buses from up country leave to and for from Karachi.
The rush of pedestrian traffic is the justification for this construction. This is a junction for traffic for millions at people who live in the area, as Abul Hassan Isphahani Road starts from there. The road is full of flats and is the starting point of the Lyari Express Way. I hope that the Shahjahan of Karachi will give due importance to this issue and do the needful.
