The District Co-ordination Officer (DCO) Hyderabad Aftab Ahmed Khatri has said that District Government Hyderabad has made huge investment in up-grading hospitals, establishing trauma centre and providing health care to Hepatitis B, C and Diabetic patients free of cost. This he observed while talking to the doctors and paramedics during his surprise visit of Kahosar Hospital.
The DCO said that the investment made by the government could only be fruitful when services are extended to the ailing people and funds are utilised efficiently. He stressed upon the doctors and paramedics to be pro-active and extend all facilities available to the poor patients. Khatri further said that poor patients should be advised to take advantage of the laboratory and other facilities rather than being sent to the private hospitals.
He made it clear that who so ever found involved in negligence in providing medical treatment to the poor patients would be dealt with. The DCO also directed the management to maintain cleanliness in the hospital and directed them to advise people to do so in their personal life.
Earlier, the DCO also paid surprise visit at the Taluka Hospital Tandojam and expressed his dissatisfaction over the cleanliness. He directed the doctors and paramedic to be punctual and maintain cleanliness failing which strict action against them would be recommended to their departments. On the complaints of non provision of medicines to the patients, the DCO Hyderabad warned the hospital management to ensure the supply of medicines to the needy patients.
