At least two people were killed in different violent incidents across the metropolis on Monday, police and witnesses said. According to details, a man was gunned down over old enmity in limits of Site police station while another was crushed to death by heavy crane during working hours in jurisdiction of KPT police station.
Sources at Site police station told Business Recorder that a 40-year-old Muhammad Khan son of Namroz Khan was killed by his neighbour over old enmity at house no. 147 street no. 03 Bawany Chali, Site Town. The deceased was rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for treatment but he succumbed to his bullet wounds on way to hospital.
The police have on complaint of deceased brother Gul Rang Shah have registered an FIR no. 704/09 under Section 302, 34 of Pakistan Panel Code (PPC) against his neighbours Zaffar, Akhtar, Fazal Aleem and their father Fazal-e-Rahim. However, no arrest has been made till our going to the press.
In another incident, 27-year-old labourer have lost his life when a heavy crane crushed him to death during lifting load at KPT gate no.09. The diseased Saeed son of Manzoor was the resident of Korangi 100 Quarters. The body of deceased was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for post-mortem.
Meanwhile, Liaquatabad police have lodged an FIR against the driver of inter-provincial transport service for killing of a young boy during careless driving at Electronics Market, Liaquatabad Town. The police registered case no. 146/09 under Section 320 of PPC against the driver Rab Nawaz son of Muhammad Tana and took him into custody.
