Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA), Ministry of Culture here on Thursday arranged 'Mehfil-e-Milad' for females in connection with the Holy month of Ramazan. Renowned Naat Khawan and intellectual females from Radio and TV recited Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (PBUH), Darood-o-Salam and delivered speeches on 'Seerat un Nabi' (Peace Be Upon Him).
Speaking on the occasion, they highlighted the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and asked the young generation to follow the teachings of Holy Prophet (PBUH) and the concepts of Islam regarding unity among Muslims.
"Islam is the religion of peace and international brotherhood and there is a need to project soft image of Islam in a way that the life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) should be presented to the entire world in a way to remove misconceptions about Islam and its teachings," they added.
Among popular Naat Khawan, Rukhsana Murtaza, Haleema Bibi, Sana Ather, Tayyaba Ather, Parveen Akhtar, Mehooda Qamar, Dr, Sajida Shami and Farzana Khan participated. The event was organised by Mehmooda Ghazia from PNCA while females from different walks of life attended the ceremony.
