The meeting was informed that sufficient quality of sugar was being supplied in the "Sastay Ramazan Bazars" for sale on subsidised rate through a comprehensive and effective mechanism so that each aspirant could purchase sugar in a smooth manner.
The meeting was further informed that the sugar, which was seized by the government during the raids on godowns, was put on sale at subsidised rates of Rs 40 per kilogram. The DCO said that the arrangements had also been made to provide the sugar on ex-mill rate of Rs 45 per kilogram with the co-operation of sugar linkers and four sale points at Sports Complexes, Ghulam Muhammadabad, Samnabad, Saleemi Chowk and Crescent ground, Sheikhupura road.
