On the directions of Chief Minister Punjab Mohammad Shabaz Sharif, Provincial Minister for Excise and Taxation Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman and Secretary Health Punjab Anwaar Ahmad Khan visited Mayo Hospital and met the Edhi Foundation Lahore Sector Incharge Sibghat Ullah and other office-bearers.
MS Dr Zahid Pervez and other senior doctors were also present on this occasion. While talking to the office-bearers of Edhi Foundation, Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman said that Chief Minister and Punjab government appreciate the humanitarian services of Abdul Sattar Edhi and Edhi Foundation and all kind of co-operation would be extended to them in Mayo Hospital.
On this occasion, Secretary Health informed that Chief Minister has directed to include construction of Edhi Station in the master plan of Mayo Hospital. He further said that as compared to previous more elaborated space have been given to Edhi Center in the hospital. Secretary Health further said that administrative issue had been exaggerated in the press. On this occasion, Incharge Edhi Foundation Lahore Sector Sibghat Ullah informed that Abdul Sattar Edhi himself thanked the Chief Minister telephonically for including of permanent Edhi Station in the master plan of the hospital and resolving the issue amicably.
