The Airport Police following the directions of CPO, Rao Mohammad Iqbal Khan has launched a public awareness campaign specifically for the passengers arriving from abroad to secure them from the fraudulent people and swindlers depriving them of their precious belonging in the pretext of checking outside the airport premises.
The CPO, Rao Iqbal while taking serious cognisance of the complaints that some elements were actively engaged in looting the passengers coming from aboard in the pretext of search and deprive them of foreign currency, passport and other precious belongings.
The trickery people prove themselves as officials by showing fake identity cards of concerned departments. This was stated by the Airport Police check post Incharge Chaudhry Mumtaz, saying thousands of pamphlet have been distributed among the passengers for their guidance and to aware them of the people involved in this illegal practice. The fraudulent people evince them as officials and in the pretext of searching the passengers; they manage to deprive them of their valuable goods, baggage foreign currency, passport and other belongings.
