KARACHI: On the occasion of the Defence Day of Pakistan on Wednesday the cadets of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Academy Asghar Khan (Risalpur) performed guards' duty at the mausoleum of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
The contingent consisted of 102 cadets including three females, PAF spokesman said.
Commandant of the PAF Academy, Air Officer Commanding, Air Vice Marshal Imran Khalid was the chief guest on the occasion.
He laid a floral wreath at the Mazar, offered Fateha and recorded his impressions in the Visitors' Book.
In connection with the Defence Day, the PAF organized a ceremony at the Masroor Base.
Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah was the chief guest on the occasion.
The PAF planes as well as equipment was put on display. At the stall the models of the aircraft as well as the weapons were also exhibited.
The F-16s and Mirage planes enthralled the people with the aerobatics.
A large number of people including women and children visited the stalls.
