Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL) will deliver 5,000 tractors to the farmers who have been declared successful in draw and for this purpose lists have been sent to 13 zonal offices and local branches all over the Punjab. President ZTBL Chaudhry Muhammad Zaka Ashraf told here on Wednesday that arrangements for the delivery of tractors among farmers under Banzair Tractor Scheme have been completed.
He said that farmers would contact in branch concerned where they had submitted their applications for Benazir Tractor Scheme. He said the bank officials would issue the Delivery Draft (DD) and later company would deliver the tractor among farmers.
Giving details about allocation of district-wise tractors Zaka Ashraf said that 86 tractors would be given in Chiniot, 207 in Faisalabad, 192 in Jhang, 104 in Toba Tek Singh, 188 in Khushab, 87 in Mandi Bahauddin, 204 in Sargodha, 112 in Gujranwala, 101 in Gujrat, 76 in Hafizabad, 76 in Narowal, 102 in Sialkot, 289 in Bhakkar, 144 in Mianwali, 136 in Kasur, 46 in Lahore, 73 in Nankana Sahib, 157 in Sheikhpura, 239 in Bahawalnagar, 163 in Bahawalpur, 128 in Attock, 128 in Chakwal, 50 in Jhelum, 85 in Ralwapindi, 194 in Layyah, 180 in Muzaffargarh, 137 in Okara, 99 in Pakpattan, 105 in Sajowa, 173 in Dera Ghazi Khan, 156 in Rajanpur, 147 in Khanewal, 158 in Vehari, 257 in Rahim Yar Khan, 100 in Lodhran and 121 in Multan.
President ZTBL said that federal government would provide Rs 200,000 subsidy on each tractor, the average tractor price in market was Rs 460,000 and farmers would get the tractor Rs 260,000 under Benazir Tractor Scheme. To a query, he said all ZTBL branches would complete and handover the delivery drafts to farmers within one month and tractor companies would bound to delivery the tractors as soon as possible. The necessary instructions about the delivery of tractors have been issued to all zonal branches in this regard, he added.
