Eid-ul-Fitr was celebrated with usual enthusiasm and religious fervour in Daska, Pasrur, Zafarwal, Sambrial and Ugoki areas of Sialkot district on Monday. On this occasion strict security measures were adopted by the district administration for maintaining law and order in the district.
Similarly, the special traffic arrangements were also made to ensure smooth flow of traffic in busy roads of the city. The Ulema while addressing the Eid-ul-Fitr congregations stressed upon the faithful to mould their lives in accordance with the tenet of Islam and golden teachings of Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) the greatest educator to the mankind for getting rid from multifarious problems and difficulties.
The Ulema also called upon the faithful that they should shun their petty differences to cope with the challenges and threats to Muslim Ummah with unity. The unity of Muslim Ummah at this juncture is direly needed for foiling the evil designs of anti-Islamic forces because due to lack of unity the Muslim world had been confronting with multifarious problems and with the passage of time these problems are multiplying rapidly they added.
The Ulema and religious leaders said that it was Islam that protects the rights of women and minorities as well as taught the lesson of brotherhood, peace and tolerance, and it is high time that Muslims should forged complete unity among their ranks for coping with the growing threats of violence and terrorism because Islam has forbidden violence in all its forms they pointed out.
They urged upon the faithful that in order to please Almighty Allah, Eid delights should be shared with poor, orphan, needy persons and widows. The Ulema and religious scholars on this occasion strongly condemned the suicidal attacks and said that Islam has forbidden such brutalities and condemned the killing of innocent people. Such elements were not rendering the services for Islam but are trying to defame Islam with their nasty designs they alleged.
