Speaker Punjab Assembly, Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan met Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, here on Wednesday and congratulated him on the success of the programme for the provision of Sasta atta, sugar and other essential items to the poor and indigent persons in Ramzan-ul-Mubarak.
Talking to the Speaker Punjab Assembly, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that crores of poor and deserving persons benefited from the historic Ramazan Package of Punjab government. He said that only the people have the right over national resources that are being spent on their welfare. He said that the process of provision of relief to the people will continue in future as well and different proposals are being considered in this regard.
He said that Punjab government has initiated a number of development projects worth billions of rupees for the betterment of the people and provision of basic amenities to the masses and their completion will bring about a revolutionary change in the life of the common man. He said that timely completion of development projects as well as transparent utilisation of funds is being ensured.
